The Rip Off Report – Legitimate Business Or Professional Blackmailers?
My name is Sanjay, I have been in the marketing industry for almost ten years now, and more specifically I am an internet marketer. So the website: ripoffreport. What are they all about?
On the outset, their function is to give people a platform to complain about companies that they are less than happy to about. Anyone can post any complaint that they like. Free speech on the internet should be a positive thing. Like most websites however, the rip off report is there to make money for it’s owners, in this case Ed Magedson. So how does the rip off report make it’s money?
The site has been specifically built and set up to rank highly in the search engines like Google and Yahoo for when people search for company names, let us say company %u201CA%u201D for example. What this means is that the potential customers, employees, partners and other business that may work along side company %u201CA%u201D will eventually find this rip off report. This tarnishes their reputation, and in many cases can cost the business money. Reputation is a fragile thing, and is easy to destroy on the internet without needing any actual facts. So how does this lead to the ripoffreport making money?
The rip off report website then charges the targeted company to remove the post. It is as simple as that. If you are loosing thousands of pounds of lost business through a problem, wouldn’t you pay to make the problem go away? Well, there are hundreds of companies that have gone and done this very thing already. Many more have refused, and infact there was a great report on Channel 7 newsabout this a little while ago . Wikipedia has a great section on how they charge companies to respond to the reports, thus making money every time someone complains. Click here to read it NOW.
Is it too hard a step to believe all the claims that the people at the rip off report pay people to post negative posts about companies so that they can then charge the companies to remove them?
Once you understand that they make money from the negative reports, it suddenly really becomes all too clear that they probably don’t care whether any of it is true or not. Why would they? They are making a ton of cash off the back the complaints whether they are true or not!
...from there, is it too hard a step to believe all the claims that the people at the rip off report pay people to post negative posts about companies so that they can then charge the companies to remove them? I don’t think so...
This is Sanjay, reporting on the rip off that is the rip off report.

Enigin Saving the planet?
It’s not only the people at Enigin PLC who are talking about energy saving, carbon footprint, global warming, being green etc. etc. these days everybody seems to be, but you sometimes wonder if people realise that these thing are all linked together. The truth is if we don’t do something soon to reduce the amount of energy we use, there won’t be any resources left for our kids to use.
Global warming is a real, scientific, measureable effect. The layers of gas around the planet are getting thicker and thicker, and the heat just can’t get out. By 2050 the whole of the belt around the equator as far north as Madrid, and leaving only Australia and New Zealand in the south, will become unusable as agricultural land and practically uninhabitable because of the High temperatures interspersed with violent storms.

Couple this with decreasing reserves of coal, oil and natural gas from 2012 and a world population exploding at exponential rates, switching off that single light bulb suddenly doesn’t seem so insignificant. My years as a successful businessman and consultant, helping companies save money and increase profits, has taught me that every little helps.
In any case, this isn’t about saving the planet, the planet will survive perfectly well on its own; it’s about saving our way of life, our treasured standard of living.
Energy saving ideas and products, like those offered by Enigin PLC, are the first step towards reducing the impact of these inevitable events on our lives, and perhaps more importantly, the lives of our children and our children’s children.
Simple devices which switch lights on and off with motion and daylight sensing, low power lighting such as compact fluorescents and LEDs, modern T5 electronic strip lighting and common-sense control and monitoring can make an enormous difference (sometimes as much as 80% on specific applications) in energy use in any domestic or commercial application; investment in technologies like these is an investment in the future of the world as we know it.

Other areas where energy can be quickly and easily saved are air conditioning (more of which will be needed as temperatures rise), chillers (these too) and motors; examples of energy saving devices for these are on the Enigin website as well.
It just isn’t acceptable to say %u201CI can’t be bothered%u201D, %u201Csomeone else will do it%u201D, %u201Cit doesn’t affect me%u201D, because it simply does! Saving energy is the one thing that everyone can do to make a contribution to the future of the human race.

So I was reading across the internet, and you know how you stumble across things, but you’re never sure afterwards how you got there? Well I found this post about Enigin, the energy saving company. I’ve thought about energy saving before, of course I have! I’ve experimented with the energy saving light bulbs (although I really didn’t like the light they outputted) and I tried to remember to turn my t.v. off from standby to full off in order to save energy that lasted all of a week before I forgot for a few days... and here I am finally remembering that I’d forgot to do it for the last year!
Anyway what interested me about this article was the money point. If being energy efficient was going to save me serious money, then of course I would do it! I mean, who doesn’t want to save a few quid to spend on more important things like the sky subscription for the T.V. (that is still on standby in the corner by the way). In any case, the point is this: we don’t do it because right now we don’t think of it as being alot of money. Now the question is, is that because it isn’t alot of money, or is that because we just don’t think of it as alot of money?
I dug around a little more, and what I found was that Enigin and companys like this can save you %u201Cup to 40%%u201D so that probably menas more like 30%, or maybe 25 or 20%. Think about this though if someone is running a 20% off sale in the shops people go running so why should it be any different in this case?
Let%u2019s save the world not by making people care, but by appealing to their pockets!
I think that perhaps it is all about economy’s of scale. I presume that people like Enigin get companys going to them. A large building would use lots of electricity up, so 20% of a large building is a big deal. 40% is an even bigger deal. However, fo you and me in our homes, 20% isn’t such a large amount of money... or so we think. Actually it is again because of economys of scale. If we save £100 that is enough to buy clothes or have a good night out. To a big company £100 is nothing. However, they would save 20% of tens of thousands, maybe millions, so to them it is alot.
So why aren’t more people being enviromentally friendly not out of an ethical stand point, but out of greed? I’m not sure, but I think that perhaps this really is the way forward. Let’s save the world not by making people care, but by appealing to their pockets! Lets use greed and selfishness, to turn the world into a bunch of tree hugging hippies because hugging trees is going to be more profitable than not!

"I have been looking at Enigin since I have read this post and I must say I cannot really find where the rip off report is getting its information. After doing a bit of research on Enigin, I have found out that one of the agreements they offer is companies pay with the money from the savings of the electricity overheads that as accumulated through the technology that is offered through Enigin’s Energy Savings schemes and applications. I really respect this company and it really bothers me that the people involved in the rip off report just can just go out and slate them, and then try and charge them money to take it off! Sometimes it amazes me the business models that people come up with, and that you can actually legally base an entire business on extortion..."
